What Do You Assume to Be True About?

what is the truth?
Truth is not an idea, is not a feeling. There is not an absolute Truth. Truth  has a variety of meanings and sometimes people say that what true is what you are thinking about! this is true? who knows....
For me, what I believe or assume is true should be based on statistics because human beings are the ones who make societies laws. I will say what true is what most people think (more than 80 to 90 %).
I would like to challenge myself about what I suspect to be true about Gay's children. I  think that  by accepting that gay couples raise children increase  the number of this population in our society. The augmentation of this minority of persons will or not affect us in some points in the future.
It  is my personal point of view. I believe it  because human beings adapt themselves to their surrounding and thus having children in a family Gay will not give them the choice to end up in relationships other than the ones where they grow up.
I hope I will found good sources to argue my opinion by being a critical thinker. I  am really sure it will be exciting and challenging to find those resources. I will do my best since I have the certitude that  what is not considerate as normal in a healthy society is considerate as normal in a unhealthy society.

  1. Hi Carene,

Thank you for your post about the children of gay parents. I believe that a lot of people also share this assumption that you have expressed here.

One of the questions that I posed in the assignment is how you have developed the point of view on the subject, and where you had heard information about the subject that shaped your assumption. Please go back to the original questions from the homework assignment and respond to that question.

Also, please keep in mind that the intention of the semester research project is not to argue one's opinion, but to determine whether or not one's assumptions about a population are substantiated with published evidence based on research.

One thing for sure...there is a lot of research out there that has been done, and is currently being done, on this topic!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Sincerely,
    Professor Wexelbaum
